Tax dollars for foreign wars

Ahhh, it's tax season again and what wonderful things might one expect the tax dollars to be funding? New schools perhaps, medical goods for those in need, or maybe nothing, maybe those tax dollars should be used to pay back the big debt America has racked up. Well according toWar Resisters League 54% of our Federal income taxes are used for the military.  Now, disregarding the 18% we spend on past military, presumably for pensions, aid, and whatever else discharged members of the military might need, and I might add, of which I am more than happy to pay, still leaves 36%.

If we are to believe this number that means 36 cents of every one of your tax dollars goes toward an unmanned Predator drone firing a missile right up the ass of a Pakistani baby in the middle of the night.  It also mean more boots on the ground in Libya.....and why are we there by the way?  And perhaps more importantly, for those with loved ones in the military, it means a continuation of activities in foreign wars.  A continuation of snipers, IADs, friendly fire and not being home.

Why are we funding these operations?
